I bought the hat to see if our entrepreneurship class could create a decal for it for a walk team dedicated in the memory of my friend’s daughter.  It worked, but with the heat press there is something in the brim melted so it won’t work.  But as someone who has a big head, the hat was comfortable to wear and not heavy like some.

This is a bright "Summer red" cap, made of polyester/cotton 80/20 blend. It's light and cool, with a generously sized visor that's lightly curved. I like wearing it plain, but it's wide open for custom design and decoration.  There are six panels in the crown of the cap, each with a small embroidered circle for ventilation, but they look completely closed to me. There is a fabric-covered button on the top of the cap. The headband is adjustable in back, with about 2" of overlapped velcro fabric. You can easily lift and replace to resize for today's hair style, head size, hair clips, or whatever.  

The two panels that form the front of the cap over the visor have a soft side-to-side curve. They provide about 2 1/2" of relatively flat design space before curving back to the top. There is a seam in the middle of that front, but it is surprisingly smooth to work over or around.  Measuring from the side seams of the two front panels, the width is 6 1/4" of working space in front. 

This cap will work well with fabric paint, or adhesive and design elements such as glitter, sequins, buttons, what-have-you.  Also appliqué , embroidery, iron-on, and more.  What the heck, stick a feather on it.  It really does offer a lot of opportunities!

This is a classic unisex shape and style baseball cap with a stiff visor shaped with a soft curve. It's lightweight polyester/cotton 80/20 blend fabric, very nice for warm weather.  There is an embroidered vent hole at the top quarter of each of the panels that form the crown of the cap, and a fabric-covered button on the top. There is an adjustable headband with about 2" of overlapped velcro-lined band, very easy to pull apart and reposition to fit whatever head size and hair style.  This teal or turquoise color is dialed in for Spring, Summer, and Fall outfits.  

The front of the cap above the visor is good for appliqué or iron-on, or needlework design, as well as fabric paint, adhesives and design elements.  Aside from the wrap-around side-to-side curvature, there is about 2 1/2" of fairly flat "front" space for larger design elements.  There is a seam in the center front to consider.

These hats are great for gifts! I use fabric paint to add designs. They are very durable, and my friends all like the decorated hats they received as birthday presents.

I purchased this hay to try them out for a last minute project and they def are not good for embroidery. They wrinkle in the front no matter how much backing is behind. I hooped the HAts with a gen 2 cap as well as regular cap hoops and they just don’t look nice at all. The threads embroiders on itself and makes the hat ugly and unable to be fixed. The first hat I did ripped right away on the side, the rest just went downhill after embroidering letters. The hat also had a strange shape so my machine moved. It’s just a strange hat to embroider. I would def recommend a diff source to even practice on. Made it difficult. I wish I took images I can repost again with new images, but the white hat was the best one.
